This page lists resources available to you in researching literary figures, their works and their times.  It will include general subject headings to aid your research as well as specific resources you can use during the research process.

5. Literary Resource Center   Search the Literature Resource Center to find information about authors and their works. The LRC covers more than 90,000 novelists, poets, essayists, journalists and other writers.

American Memory Project: Historical Collections for the National Digital Library

The Library of Congress has a wealth of primary sources in the American Memory Project.  Look for photos, letters, speeches, diaries, etc.

Badgerlink has an excellent collection of images:

Go into magazines and journals; pick the database you want to use; for example, MasterFile Premier and Academic Search Elite; search under the author's name; click on the green box that says "images"

You may check out materials at the Edgewood College Library by showing your Edgewood HS id.

Video Resources: Madison Public Library has an excellent collection of videos;

Use their online catalog, LinkCat; search under Format; put in video or audio and follow with your author's last name as a keyword.
